Plot synopsis: A desperate masked robber holds a betting-shop clerk at gunpoint, and when a well-meaning young bystander intervenes, he’s tragically shot dead. Investigators race to connect three critical threads: the killer’s weapons expertise, the commonplace mask he uses, and his intimate knowledge of the crime scene to unmask him before he strikes again.
